| This park was opened in the spring of 2005, and my first visit was in the late fall of that year. At that time, a lot of it was still under development, including trails and structures, so I was unable to see much of it. Today, however, there are 19 miles of trails, a diversity of animals and plants, and it covers habitats from forests to wetlands. The word 'Nescopeck' is a Native American word that means "black, deep, and still water". |
