| The Seven Tubs Natural Area is actually not a State Park, but it is a nice little hiking area in northeastern Pennsylvania. This place was named for the tub-like formations created by glacial melt-water wearing down the sandstone over 12,000 years ago. The area around the tubs is nicely shaded and cool, however, some of the rocks and soil are rather loose and can be dangerous to walk on. Apart from the tubs, there is a little hike through the forest, where you may see quite a few different trees, flowers, birds and mammals. |
